Merch Fluffy Teddy Bear 80th Collection

This collection is a little travel story, with a touch of Cathay charm.
Where flying, culture, and everyday discoveries all come together.
Follow eight fluffy bears as they hop to destinations around the world,
turning the whole journey into something fun, charming, and easy to remember.

This particular series was created with the help of AI. It was a fun project where I got to use different AI tools to achieve this collection of work.

20% time spent on researching on visual reference.
20% time spent on accurate prompting with Perplexity, Poe, Gemini
40% time spent on image generation with Adobe Firefly,
10% time spent on retouching images with Adobe Photoshop,
10% time spent on video generation with Adobe Firefly and Kling.

2 weeks of exploration and over 6000-8000 credits were used to reach this end result, around 1 day per visual.

I forgot what it felt like shooting in the park, working with ever changing uncertainties. It was a day filled with challenges and laughters, a good day to be out instead of being in office!

We faced a few challenges throughout the day:
1) Bee waffling around us during the first hour of the photoshoot
2) Working in hot weather and ever changing sunlight

A reminder to always bring a bug sprays, fans and bottles of water for outdoor photoshoot!

Cathay Pacific sends final aircraft home from Alice Springs

What an immense privilege to capture this significant milestone for Cathay Pacific.

This aircraft - 2003 Airbus A330, registration B-HLV, was the first to enter the Alice Spings Storage facility on 28 July 2020 and the last to leave on the 6th June 2024.

It's taken teamwork, resilience and determination to accomplish this once-in-a-lifetime storage and reactivation program. An honour to meet and greet the unsung heroes- the engineers who performed 16,000 periodic checks, invested 800,000 labour hours in maintenance, conducted 2,000 oversight surveillance checks, and shipped over 40,000 parts to Alice Springs during these 4 years.

This achievement is a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and passion of every member of the Cathay Pacific family. So proud to see our aircraft back in the sky and moving passengers around the world again 🎉

Incredibly proud to be a part of this project working with the design team (Bonnie Chu, Lam Chi, Cheuk Lui) who spent 2 years to develop this memorable and fun product. I'm always in awe with their impressive attention to detail- from brick dimensions to technical drawings of every part of the aircraft to sticker designs and multiple rounds of colour sampling. The team's dedication and professionalism made this concept came to life. Thank you for being such an amazing group of individuals to work with, miss you all!

Behind every polished photograph, stands a group of hard working production crew. Grateful to work with these joyful and experienced lighting masters who were able to create fantastic lighting in 3 different locations within a short time frame. I always admire their calm attitude and quick thinking under high stress environment, all this allowed us (Daniel Cheong- Art director and I) to focus on:

1️⃣ Direction- Using short and easy language for the high energy kids with short attention span. IE: Look at the apple juice and RUN 😂 very effective
2️⃣Kids' attention - Figure a way to catch kids' attention by redirect the parents to stand behind the camera
3️⃣ Live camera capture with a review station- Ensure easy visual communication with stakeholders, make sure everyone sees the "final result" before we move on to the next location

The last behind the scene photo perfectly illustrates how busy it can be in a moment. Lighting being adjusted, talents getting ready, photographer making sure lighting is right and composition is good before we go:
