Cathay Pacific sends final aircraft home from Alice Springs
/What an immense privilege to capture this significant milestone for Cathay Pacific.
This aircraft - 2003 Airbus A330, registration B-HLV, was the first to enter the Alice Spings Storage facility on 28 July 2020 and the last to leave on the 6th June 2024.
It's taken teamwork, resilience and determination to accomplish this once-in-a-lifetime storage and reactivation program. An honour to meet and greet the unsung heroes- the engineers who performed 16,000 periodic checks, invested 800,000 labour hours in maintenance, conducted 2,000 oversight surveillance checks, and shipped over 40,000 parts to Alice Springs during these 4 years.
This achievement is a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and passion of every member of the Cathay Pacific family. So proud to see our aircraft back in the sky and moving passengers around the world again 🎉
